This years FREAKS MAS presents the theme "AQUARIA" . Like I said before I love underwater themes and I was more than excited to see what FREAKS was launching. I think this year is a great improvement of last years costumes. Here are the sections (in my opinion) least favorite to my favorite .
Underwater Kingdom-
There's not much I can really say about this section but it is deff my least fav
Butterfly Spended by FREAKS NY -
The color scheme is just not appealing to me but the models work the costumes at the band launch and this sections is one of few sections that actually goes with the theme.
Regal Emperor by Slammin Caste -
I think I don't like this section because its black. Pulling off a black section is very hard to do . Its nothing really appealing to this section as well. but this is of the other sections that actually goes with the theme.
Veil Tail by Tony Cross -
Theres nothing really wrong about this section but then again its nothing really right about this section either. I more think this section would have been better for FREAKS last years theme "ILLUSIONS"
Queen Athinas by Forever Divaz -
This is headpiece is what attracts my eye to this costume. the color scheme Is a great choice. I just wish the men section was more well put together. you can tell some time was put in for the womens but the men was a little slack.
Sunburst by Freedom Promotions -
This section is very well put together but its something about it that's screaming I need more. maybe a men section to complete it or maybe the leg pieces need a bit more feathers. hmmm?
Lacary by Island Gems -
Why oh why didn't this section have a men's to it ?? the color scheme is great, the back pack is great, the frontlne is great. but for some reason its just not one of my tops
Sulawesi Corals by Sherzel Production -
This is the 21 and younger section. this is very teenager appealing if that made any sense. the color scheme is a plus . love the use of the different type of feathers. and sherzel is one of my fav mas makers. she always bring her A game . BOOM !!
Sea Anemone by De Grind Mas -
The color scheme is what have this section in my top 5 . the headpiece is very different and its just an all around beautiful costume.
Fairy Wrasse by Fatal Angels -
this costume is very appealing to the eye. I do think this is the best backpack in this band . but I feel this section more depicts the theme "ILLUSIONS" . perhaps FREAKS NY theme should have been " ILLUSIONS pt 2"
Flaming Angels by Jason Benn-
Jason Benn another one of my favorite designers always come hard with his sections. I deff see myself in this section with out the neck piece and a better headpiece maybe a Mohawk headpiece. hmmm decisions!!
Piranha by Sherzel Productions -
This section color scheme is madddd . Sherzel did it again !! this section will take eastern parkway by storm . oh and the men to this is GREAT. I wouldn't subtract or add nothing to this. ! great job Sherzel !
Siamese Halfmoon Betta by Ontarage Ladies & Luge -
If I play with FREAKS NY for 2013 THIS will be my section. the different headpiece, the collar, the isis wings, the men section, EVERYTHING about this section is well put together .
Well FREAKS NY is not playing this year. im so indecisive between them and Ramajay . but most of these sections more depict ILLUSIONS . but I deff cant wait to see who I go with . GREAT JOB once again freaks.

Usually I know what band I want to play with before band launching season and I usually pick by best theme but for 2013 all three bands have very interesting themes so I'm going to have to go by costumes. with all three themes I have a vision of my costume. im going for an individual costume this year since im not playing for crop over
RAMAJAY MAS
This is Ramajay's 5th year in the game with the theme "Reflections of Carnival: Then and Now", I'm really excited to see how they combine old school with some new school. I think its a great way to show mas is not all about being naked. I hope to see my fav trini mas character ( midnight robber ). Being last years winners with the theme "Wings - were flying high" expectations are high for ramajay but ramajay gets more and more creative as the years go by! If I decide to go with Ramajay I will have to act on it FAST because they have this new thing as of 2012 where they have a limited of 550 people and when it comes to playing with Ramajay people don't stick ! HA !
With this theme im sure theres going to be a section or two reflecting Indian Mas and if I decide to go with ramajay, I would want a long headpiece with boy shorts. perfect example of what im talking about is Yuma's 2012 section reflecting Indian Mas
SESAME FLYERS
This is Sesame Flyers 30th anniversary with the theme "VOGUE" . im so infatuated with this theme because its a puzzling theme. it makes you think what could they be possibly doing. I have a weird feeling there going to have costumes like Trinidad's band K2K and if so Sesame Flyers wont see me this year. but Sesame never disappoints me. My fav designers (Akin and Caprice) have the best costumes every single year so im not worried about what they'll bring . Last years theme "Fire and Ice" which theme I did not like because that's a theme you cant do to much with and they had the same colors in almost every section. which is why I think they got 2nd place, that and because of that one section "Concoction" which showed a little too much but im not complaining... YES !
For some reason when I hear VOGUE I think lots of pleasant feathers . I would want a collar with lots of pleasant feathers and a head piece that's not to big nor to small, just good size. A good example would be Bliss's tiger section that was taken away !
FREAKS NY MAS
I believe this is Freaks NY Mas 2nd year in NY with the theme "Aquaria", now I like under water themes because you have a wide variety of sections to come out with. I Never had the Freaks NY experience and I have a feeling im going to play with them just to say I played with the three biggest bands in NY then I can compare all bands for my 2014 decision (early planning). Its not much I can say about Freaks NY. From watching vids on YouTube I can tell when it comes to best vibes, Freaks NY is the band and im all about the vibes !! With the 2012 theme "ILLUSIONS" I didn't like but one section but hopefully 2k13 have more sections that I like ! BOOM !
With this under water theme. I couldn't really think of anything that I would want so I did a little looking around and I found Tribe's section from 2013 "Papilio" . the little collar and wings backpack can symbolize some type of underwater thing or fish. like the others I have an picture of what im talking about
well im very excited for all three band launches. I guess until sesame flyers launch I wont know who im playing with. so I will see you guys on JUNE 16th !!!

Ramajay Mas Presents Night Of A Thousand Dreams, now i freggin love that theme. When i first heard the theme, i went muad cuz i had so many differnet ideas of what they can do, and the closer band launch came, they more hype i got ! now i was not there for band launch because i do not live in the state but i deff watched live ! nd every section that came out i was surprised (not of excitment but more of disappointment) , Don't get me wrong i love every section (well almost every section) because their unique in their own way ! Now ima evaluate every section from my least fav to my fav. RAMAJAY WE SAY !
Jewels Of The Sahara- Caribbean Passion
now there was no great pic of this section so i picked the best pic, now what i like about this section is the bra and the belt... that about it, i don't really fancy the headpiece at all, and the shoulder piece could have been better ! but what i don't get is the same ppl with Caribbean passion have a section with sesame flyers and the section is muadd, what happened to this one, i feel, this one was rushed ...

When i seen this section the only thing i can was " Richard and Anthony (my fav designers) did this?" now dont get me wrong i love it ! but its somewhat a downgrade from their sections last yr. ! nd white costumes dnt catch my attention like that but i love, love, love this frontline !

now this section made me mad, when this section came out i was like -___- wha de ass ... talk abou the same thing, its almost the exact same thing, nd almost the exact same color. i guess they made this section for the ppl who didnt get to play in it last yr lol cuz it sell off at band launch but the least they could have done was change the flippin color, CHA !

Alright ! now i like this section ! nothing really to say bou it but the only think i dnt like abou it is the wings, if im tryna wine with a sexy ting in this section , i dnt want no wings in de way lol !
Dream Catcher - THC & IVybez
now i dnt like several things abou this section, now mind you THC is the ppl who did ISIS last yr. this is deff a DOWNGRADE the colors is a bold choice but it came together well, i love the front line, as well as individual , the men section was W A C K . I told my self, what ever section THC do this yr im goin in.... cuz they does have the sexiest women in they section butttt ima have to party in another section cuz im just not feeling it !

now i been watching odyssee blu since they was with sesame flyers in o9 ,.. then they had their own band and i played with them last yr . now they with ramajay lol ! okay ! now wen i see this section i think of sesames purple nd pink section but i think sesame's is a lil bitt better , the frontline for this is MASSIVE , its different, nd i love different, i like the choise of feathers, now all the leg pieces are different, why is that? the men chest piece is a lil confusing to me but i still like it. now the men headpiece i DONT like, why blue,? i dnt think it needed feathers period ! but oh well

WHOIIIIII now this section is massiveeeee, its a tie with this men section and another men for the best ! the fronline is sexyyyy the bras, belts, leg pieces, arm pieces ... all sexyy ! the only thing i dnt like is the headpice for the backline ! but otherwise everything is a GO ! i see this section selling off !
Emerald Dreams- Frienz Promotions
IM playing in this section, cuz i like the mens part in this section, simple nd yet hott ! the frontline for this is amazing, from the headpiece down to the backpack ! the middle line is confusing, why did they put peacocks on there wen nun ot the others have a single peacock feather . the wire bra is hott, love to see women in wire bra ;) love a women with confidence ! the backline , the bra is hot , love the belt but hate the headpiece, i kno hate is a strong word but i do ! why the heck is the feathers pointing backwards ?? it throws all the other headpice off ! but this is my section , emerald dreams i say !
Sinfully Sweet- Fatal Angels
BOLD COLORS this section have eh! the backline im not feeling to much but its sexy ! the men section is muaddd i tell you, muadddd i would play in this section but ah sticking wth emerald dreams ! the frontline is WOW ! very different ! i see my aunt nd mom in this section for sure !!!!! ive been also following fatal angels from 09 as well , from thier green jasper that i didnt like at all then to gaia, the section i was goin to play in until i switched over to odyssee, they have been improving over the yrs, nd this is deff a upgrade, im proud of fatal angels ! cant wait to see what they bring for the kids, but i kno my lil bro partying in their section !
Nirvana Sugarcane- Restaurant
this is deff a upgrade from the section they had last yr , CLORIS, i love love the colors ! the backline, midline nd frontline ALL SEXY !!! The men is massiveeeeeee, i dnt usually where the whole thing, but if i was to play in this section, i would wear the whole entire thing, the only thing i dnt like is the frontline panty, i shows a lil too much, i mean i like that and all but i shows that the women dnt really have self respect for them selves ! RAMAJAY WE SAY !

ohhh gosh labor day 2k10 was full of excitment. no was no dull moment the whole weekend. !!!! i played in a new band called Odyssee blu whos theme was Ancient Greek Myths: The Odysseey. i played in the section Calypso's Island whos colors were orange on orange. the band had many beautiful and sexy costumes. all together there where 7 section that made it on the road. the sections was Circe, Calypso's Island, Scylla, Athena the Protectress, Love of Penelope, Odyssee fulfilled, and Wrath of Poseidon. each section was well put together! the colors went well with each other and every section stood out on its own. it was a medium band.

the vibes on the road was okay, when i was with the band because i was mostly with ramajay's 2nd truck. i didnt like the fact that we ended up being the last band to cross the stage even tho there was so many other bands behind us. i didnt like the fact that the speaker lady rushed us off the stage like if the band didnt mean anything. each section got 15 seconds on the stage, we barely could of palance to one side and she was telling us to move on. i figured since we was the last band they woulda gave us a lil bitt more time. if you think im being to dramatic let me show you.
see i told you ! no time at all, we didnt even get time to show of our costumes. but im the boy in the orange section with the bajan flag. bajan masiveeeee! lol but yea no time at all. and then she messed up the names. the dancers were actually athena nd not circe. nd why did she say circle . i thought it was CIRCE (sir-see) but anyway, i had a good time on de road with my friends. but i cant lie. Ramajay was hottttttt boii. i mean all the sections were on point. they had 10 sections and they beat 12 year winning champs Sesame Flyers. my fav ramajay section was ISIS. oh gosh that section was the best section on de road for 2k10 besides calypso island lol looking at all the labor day vids its gonna be hard to deside who im goin to play with this year(2k11) its between ramjay and sesame flyers. sesame did a poor job at the judging area. i mean from calling the wrong name. going out of order so ppl had to run thru sections to get on stage nd calling sections twice! but i feel this year they gonna come back hard nd defend there title. but then again ramjay get some of there sections from trinidad nd those costumes are hard to beat. so does sesame but the person who gives ramjay sections can design a lil bit better than the ppl sesame get theres from. but for now, imstuck in between the two. ill make up my mind after i go to the band launches and see who had the section for me.

Borokeete mas - i love borokeete mas, they does do a exellent job every year. and Kay Mason queen costume does be so beautiful. my fav Kay Mason queen custume would have to be the one from 2008, the green and blue one. that one made eveyone look twice .
labor day every year is always fun filled. i cant wait to see the costumes for this year. its goin to be bachannal on de parkway . so for now RAMAJAY WE SAY ! peace
